What’s it like working for Party Doctors?

The events world is a fantastic world to work in, especially if you can work within a full in house production company like ours. We are quite unique as we provide almost all services and equipment to run an event. This means that there is an endless amount of knowledge to gain if not only the events world but also knowledge with design, production, engineering, media, marketing, and many other areas of the business world.

Our premises are modern, tidy, well fitted and comfortable to work in. We provide vast staff amenities and as much training continued as possible.

Event Technician & Marquee Rigger

Job Title: Event Technician & Marquee Rigger


We are currently seeking an event technician and rigger to join our team. The position would involve setting up marquee, productions and equipment around the south east and manning equipment where necessary. We do also have events further afield from time to time.

Normal working hours are 8am – 4:30pm 5 days a week however due to the nature of the business you may be asked to work additional hours where necessary. We do operate a time in lieu system in the quieter months.

There are also opportunities to work at events and learn new skills such as cocktail bar tending, cooking, DJing. Hosting, entertaining. All at higher paid rates.

Experience in events or marquees would be helpful bot not essential as full training is given.


  • Excellent Customer Service & Communication Skills
  • Self-Motivated with a positive attitude
  • Confident and competent with basic electrical equipment
  • UK Driving Licence (Preferable)
  • Good Command of the English Language
  • Physically fit

What you can expect:

  • £8 - £10 an hour depending on experience, minimum of 40 hours a week with lots of overtime available. Negotiable based on experience. Expected OTE of £21-£22k with basic overtime and event work in the seasonal periods.

Bar Staff & Event Staff

Job Title: Barmen, Waitress & Cocktail Barmen


Events staff required for all of our events in catering and on the bar. Cocktail barmen also needed.


Must be well presented and smartly dress. Must be prepared to travel and work long hours. Must be tidy and keen to work onsite within an event environment.


£8-£20 per hour, travel expenses paid with half travel time included.


Mainly weekend work.


Job Title: Sous Chef


Sous chef required to help prepare food at our premises and cook onsite at events with selected choices from our set menus (bespoke menus made for events are often tough).


Must have experience in restaurants and catering. Must be well presented onsite. Must be hard working and motivated to work in the events industry along with being creative.


£12-£20 per hour, travel expenses paid with half travel time included.


Prep in the week or evening, flexible hours, events at the weekend.

Events Operators

Job Title: Event Operator


Operators for event equipment such as popcorn machines, hot dog carts & chocolate fountains. Driving licence essential.


Must be well presented, well-spoken, have an eye for detail and be physically fit.


£8 per hour with part cover for travel expenses.


Freelance basis, mainly weekend work.

Summer Event Technical Staff & Riggers

Job Title: Event Rigger, Summer Students


Crew members required for installing marquees, equipment, rigging, décor and draping. This also includes working with stage and atmospheric lighting, sound, staging, furniture and other event equipment.


Must be well presented, well-spoken and have an eye for detail. Needs to be competent , have common sense, Driving licence essential and be physically fit.


£7- £8 an hour depending on experience


8am - 4pm Monday to Friday, Weekend work also available
